Growing Up Faster

This is one of those unplanned posts where I’ll think while I write! You know when you have that topic of conversation but you have no idea what you actually want to write about and focus on. 

I had this thought looking at the world around me that I know I’ve grown up a bit faster, I know my childhood wasn’t standard and I know my bond with my parents is unbreakable but it's not a bad thing.

Looking back I know I learnt to do things a couple of years before the average child but hey it was fun. Oh and by the way parents just because I’ve grown up faster doesn’t mean I’m tidier!

Growing up faster just gives you some skills earlier on. It can make you look at the world in a different way but it can never really change who you are. Growing up faster made me realise what I have slightly earlier on; it allowed me to see that yes I’m different and I struggle but there are so many people in worse situations.

That's really about all there is. It's simple really you grow up and you carry on with life; you are you and no matter how quickly you grow up you'll always be you.

Motability Roadshow

On the 29th June 2013 we went as a family to the Motability Road show in Telford. The show involved different companies of car manufactures and a mixture of companies and charities display a range of different things to help with a person’s mobility.

On arriving in Telford we set out to start our wonder round in the hope of collecting leaflets and free stuff. Each different hall had a different set of companies/charities in there. Halls1 and 2 were cars and to me boring things. Hall three was every single thing mobility related, from the standard electric scooter to a disabled friendly climbing wall, and yes we did give it a try!

You see that was the thing about the Mobility Road show you were in a place Surrounded by people in a similar situation and you felt almost at home and no one judged anyone.
